 Consistently great recipes!Jun 22, 2010
This is the only cookbook I have, ( and I have many ) where no matter which recipe I use, they turn out consistently well! I have given this particular cookbook as a gift to my friends, my daughters have a copy and they all testify the recipes are great. I recommend this highly!

 Nice cookbook, but disappointed!May 27, 2010
I really like this cookbook, it has some nice features about it. For instance, the charts are helpful. One thing disappointing about it though is that the cover was coming disconnected from the rivet on the binder. It fortunately was able to be fixed with a little ingenuity. My friend liked the one I ordered so well that she ordered 3 of them & so did I, one for me & one for each of my daughters.
If you only have one cookbook, then this is the one to have!Dec 10, 2008
I love cooking and I love great recipes. This book is probably my favorite of my huge collection of cookbooks. I always go to this one first, when I need a particular recipe. These recipes are provided by home cooks like me, who love to cook and love great food, who send in their best recipes. I love the set up of this book. I love the ease of the recipes, and that they don't ask for exotic ingredients.
I love the Taste of Home Magazine, but I love this book even better. I have given several of these out as gifts and I always get raves back about it.
Easy to use for a beginnerNov 10, 2008
I bought this cookbook for my daughter who just moved into her first apartment, on the advice of her sister, for whom I purchased it last year. The recipes are well-explained, the pictures are helpful, and the ingredients aren't so exotic that each recipe requires a special trip to the grocery store. I think this is one of the best basic cookbooks I have seen.

This cookbook not only has good recipes, but lots of hints on storing fresh vegetables, etc. I highly recommend it!
