5Surprisingly Addictive AlbumMar 07, 2010
When a friend told me that the album mostly consisted of alot of Indie music, I was not impressed. That is to say until I purchased the album. The music varies considerably from song to song, but they all have a thread that seems to tie them together well.

I already have been in love with Death Cab for Cutie and Muse, so it was easily given that I would love those songs ("Equinox" & "I Belong to You"). What surprised me is how much I enjoyed the other songs. I had never before heard a solo project song by Thom Yorke (of Radiohead) and from the moment I saw the scene in the movie that corresponds with the song "Hearig Damage" I had to go buy his album. I found other artists that I haven't really given much thought to (or heard of) and have have gone exploring for their own albums and discovered how great these bands are as well (The Killers, Hurricane Bells).

So I feel that I have been taught a valueable musical lesson, do not assume a label defines that you will not like that genre of music. I can officially say thanks to this album, I'm a fan of Indie(!) and I as impressed as I am by this compilation, I look forward to the Eclipse soundtrack which I will purchase without hesitation.

5Awesome soundtrack, even for the non Twilight fanMar 01, 2010
Great, great, great soundtrack. I think it's worlds better than the Twilight soundtrack. If you're a music lover you won't be disappointed...even if you're not a fan of the Twilight Saga.

5Great SoundtrackMar 01, 2010
Great cd, these some of these songs are just filled with so much pain and loss. I loved the placement in the movie. I listened to this cd before I saw the movie and I thought they were strange and weird. I cant tell you how many times I've listened to these songs. I can't wait for Eclipse.

3Sound track is ok. Nothing great.Feb 28, 2010
The New Moon soundtrack is ok, the Twilight soundtrack from the first movie is much better.

1No emotion what so ever!Feb 25, 2010
This sound track was boring. The music did not help make the movie effective. Where as Twilight had a ton of help from its soundtrack! I thought the movie and sound track lacked big time. You listen to the music and there is nothing that makes you feel anything. Nothing that makes you want to rock out and feel sad or anything! Quite boring actually! What a disappointment! I hope the next one they will try to go the route they did with Twilight. It'll sell better and it'll help bring more emotion to the movie. What a waste!
